Hello,
To get started here is some info.
You will need a affidavit from 5 breeders who have raised Orloff's for 5 years and they will need to swear that they reproduce 50% true. This is for each variety/color. There is also a fee which I believe is $500.00 for each variety/color. I will check the exact amount and get back to you if this is what you want to do.
You will also need to start showing at least two of each: C, H, K and P and have them evaluated on a form that I will provide by the judge that judges them. How many people do you have that have raised these for 5 years?
Do you have a written Standard for each color in the APA Standard format? Do you have a 2010 APA Standard in your possession?
There would be a qualifying meet for the Orloff's and you will need to have 50+ birds equally distributed between C, H, K and P. It is wise to have extra birds as poor examples will not be counted.
Are you an APA member and if so how long?
FYI: no one really knows why they were removed from the Standard, but what is known is that they were different than the birds of today and had a different comb as well, so you will be qualifying a breed/variety that was never in the Standard.
Let me know where you stand with this and if you need more info to start.
Walt Leonard Chairman of the APA Standard Committee.
